Why Yala exists
"Yala" comes from the Peruvian "ya la hice" — "done, just like that". Finance apps existed, but I didn't use them: logging was a chore. I wanted one that fit in the time it takes to get your change. I built it for myself, in Lima, and it turned out more people wanted it.

Common questions
- What about card and mobile payments?
- Log them the same way — "35 for the taxi" — or share the receipt or a screenshot of your statement (Pro) and Yala reads the transactions. For history, import your bank's Excel or CSV. We never ask for your credentials.
- iPhone only?
- Yes, for now: iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. Logging, budgets, charts and widgets work offline. Internet is only for iCloud, exchange rates and Yala AI.
- What if I change phones?
- Your data syncs with your personal iCloud. Set up the new iPhone and everything is there.
- Can I take my data with me?
- Any time, as CSV or Excel, from the app. It's yours.
- What if I stop paying for Pro?
- You lose nothing: your data stays and only the Pro features switch off.
