Yala Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Yala ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any of them, you should not use the App. Yala is developed and operated by Yala ("we", "us").

2. Service Description

Yala is a personal finance app that lets you record and organize your expenses, income, budgets, and accounts, split expenses in groups, and chat with Yala AI, our AI-powered assistant. The App works as a recording and visualization tool, not as financial advice. Any financial decisions you make based on the information in Yala are your sole responsibility.

3. Account and Access

Yala does not require creating an account with email or password. Access to the App is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any access settings (such as Face ID or passcode) you configure in the App.

4. Acceptable Use

By using Yala, you agree to:

• ● Not attempt to access unauthorized features, data, or systems of the App
• ● Not modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App
• ● Not use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes

5. Your Data

Your financial data is stored on your device and syncs with your personal iCloud (if enabled). The AI features (Yala AI, voice, and image) process data one-time through OpenAI when you turn them on. If you use Groups, you share certain data (expenses, balances, and your name) with the other members through Apple CloudKit. We do not have access to your data. 6. Groups and shared content (Beta)

The Groups feature lets you share expenses with other people. You are responsible for the content you share and for the people you invite to a group. Other members will be able to see the expenses, balances, and your name within the group. Groups is in Beta: balance calculations are indicative and the feature may contain bugs. We are not responsible for disputes between members or for the accuracy of shared data.

7. Intellectual Property

Yala, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, text, and other elements, is the property of Yala or its licensors. Reproduction, distribution, or unauthorized use of any part of the App without our prior written consent is prohibited.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Yala offers a free version (2 accounts, 3 budgets) and a Pro subscription with unlimited features. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Payments, renewals, and cancellations are governed by Apple's policies. You can cancel anytime from your Apple account settings.

9. Limitation of Liability

Yala is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet all your expectations. We are not responsible for financial decisions based on information displayed in the App, nor for data loss caused by device malfunction, operating system updates, or accidental deletion.

10. Termination

You can stop using Yala at any time by deleting the App from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the App (or any part of it) with reasonable prior notice. In case of discontinuation, we will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes through an App update. Continued use of Yala after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any disputes will be resolved before the competent courts of Lima, Peru.
